From 9, 2017 to December 10, 2017 the dissemination Conference of Erasmus + project WELCOME: Towards Incoming International University Communities held at the Tongji University (Shanghai, China) – WP 5 (KSMU, Tongji University).  The main aim of the Conference is to disseminate information about WELCOME project among  Chinese universities, academics and students. All partners and programme universities of the project actively participated in the plenary session and roundtables of the Conference:  Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain), Tallinn Technical University (Estonia), Lisbon University (Portugal), University of Rovira and Virhiliy (Spain), University of Perpignan – Via Domitia (France), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Narxoz University (Kazakhstan), Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade (Kazakhstan), Beihang University (China), and Tongji University (China).

The invited guests of the plenary session was the Vice-Rector of Tongji University Professor Wu Guangming and Ms. YAN Aihua “Internationalisation of Tongji University”.  The participants of the plenary sessions presented their reports on the following topics: “WELCOME project” (Vicenc Fernandez, Polytechnic University of Catalonia), "Internationalisation of Higher Education in Kazakhstan: a brief overview of achievements" (S. B. Kassymova, Karaganda State Medical University); "Erasmus+ Project: SUCTI (Systemic University changes towards Internationalisation” (Maura Lerga, University of Rovira and Virhiliy); "Internationalisation at Tallinn Technology University" (Madli Krispin, Tallinn Technology University); "Internationalisation at home and abroad in the context of student-centred policy of Kazakhstan universities" (Sh. Imangaliyeva, University of Narxoz).

Three roundtables of the Conference were dedicated to the following topics: “Online tools and resources. How evaluate the Internationalisation of universities?”, “Designing the future of Students Support Centres focused on Internationalisation”, “How to train staff and faculty to achieve the highest level in university Internationalisation?”. All participants discussed and exchanged the ideas and challenges that they face to build Portal for international students, approaches for training staff in Internationalisation, and content of Student Support Centre in Kazakhstan and China.

On 8th and 11th December, WELCOME project meetings were organised by Coordinators, where partners discussed updates of financial management, overview the Portal functions for International students, Dissemination & Exploitation; Quality and Sustainability Strategies, pier review of the project,  Benchmarking results and Report, etc
